Yes, we allow the use of EAs and automated trading. However, HFT (high-frequency trading) strategies and arbitrage are not allowed. Copy trading from other accounts within our firm is also prohibited.

You can trade a wide range of instruments, including forex pairs, indices, metals (gold, silver), energy commodities (oil, gas), and cryptocurrencies. All instruments are available on a single platform with competitive spreads.

Forex Challenge Accounts:
The maximum drawdown is the maximum your account can draw down before you would hard breach it. When you open the account, your Maximum Drawdown is set at 8% of your starting balance on 2-phase challenges and 6% for instant challenges. The max drawdown is static and does not trail.

Crypto Challenge Accounts:
Crypto Challenge Accounts: The maximum drawdown is the maximum your crypto prop firm account can draw down before you would hard breach it. When you open the account, your Maximum Drawdown is set at 8% of your starting balance on 2-phase challenges and 6% for 1-phase challenges. The max drawdown is static and does not trail on “Challenge Plans.”

The Daily Loss Limit is the maximum amount an account may lose in a single trading day. This limit resets each day at 5:00 PM EST. The Daily Loss Limit is calculated using the greater of the prior day’s end of day balance, which includes closed P&L only, or the prior day’s end of day equity, which includes both balance and any open P&L. This approach ensures that unrealized gains at the end of the trading day are properly reflected when determining the allowable loss for the following session. If a trader finishes the day with open positions that are in profit, the account equity will be higher than the balance, and equity will be used to calculate the Daily Loss Limit. If a trader finishes the day with no open positions, balance and equity are the same, and the balance will be used. If a trader finishes the day with open positions that are in a loss, equity will be lower than balance, and the balance will be used. For example, a trader has a $100,000 account with a 5 percent Daily Loss Limit. At the 5:00 PM EST reset, the account balance is $100,000 and there are open positions in profit, resulting in account equity of $102,000. Because the equity is higher than the balance, the Daily Loss Limit is calculated using the $102,000 equity value. Five percent of $102,000 is $5,100, meaning the account will violate the Daily Loss Limit if intraday equity reaches $96,900 at any point during the next trading day. If the trader had no open positions, or open positions that were in a loss, the Daily Loss Limit would instead be based on the $100,000 balance, resulting in a breach level of $95,000.

The Consistency Requirement ensures traders are not hitting Equity Growth Targets or payouts through a few oversized or lucky trading days. It measures how much of your total profit comes from your best trading day.

Formula:
(Best Trading Day PnL ÷ Total Equity PnL) × 100

A lower percentage means profits are spread across multiple days.
A higher percentage means profits are concentrated in fewer days.

The rule must be met before passing, withdrawing, or advancing (depending on the product).

Futures:
Futures accounts use an equity-based consistency check.
You must meet both your Equity Growth Target and the consistency requirement to advance or withdraw.

Example:If the rule is 25%, you cannot complete the full target in fewer than four days.

• Best day: $2,000
• Total profit: $8,000
• Ratio: 25% (pass)

If your best day represents more than 25%, you must continue trading until profits are more evenly distributed.

Crypto Instant Funding:
Crypto Instant Funding accounts use an equity-based consistency rule.
The typical limit is 33%. This means no single trading day may represent more than 33% of your total equity profit before you can request a payout.

Example:

• Best day: $1,000
• Total profit: $3,000
• 1,000 ÷ 3,000 = 33% (meets requirement)
  

If the best day exceeds the percentage threshold, you must continue trading until your profit distribution becomes more consistent.

Instant Lite:
Instant Lite accounts use an equity-based consistency rule. The typical limit is 15%. No single trading day can exceed 15% of your total profit.

Example:

• Total profit: $2,000
• Maximum allowed best day: $300 (15%)
  

If any trading day exceeds this amount, you must continue trading and generate additional profits before you can withdraw.

The 5% profit buffer defines when you can begin making withdrawals. Traders must first achieve a profit of at least 5% on their starting balance before becoming eligible to withdraw. The first 5% remains in the account as a buffer to protect capital, and only profits above this level can be withdrawn.

Example:
On a $100,000 account, once the balance reaches $105,000, the first $5,000 remains as a buffer, and any additional gains can be requested for withdrawal.

Forex and Crypto Instant Lite:
‍Unless you’ve purchased the “Weekend Holding” add-on, we require all trades to be closed by 3:45 p.m. EST on Friday. Any trades left open after this time will automatically be closed. Note that this is only a soft breach, and you will be able to continue trading once the markets reopen.

Futures:
No. All positions must be closed and all open orders cancelled at 1510 CST each weekday.

Forex and Crypto:
Trading within 3 minutes before or after a News Event is prohibited. Any traders identified as having traded during a News Event during the challenge phase are subject to having those trades removed, having the leverage on their account reduced, or having their account breached altogether. DayProp has sole and absolute discretion in determining what constitutes a News Event.

Futures:

Our futures program does not prohibit trading during news events; however, traders must exercise heightened caution due to the increased volatility and reduced liquidity that often accompany such events. Traders are solely responsible for staying informed of scheduled economic news releases and managing their positions accordingly.

Crypto and Forex:
Yes. If you do not place a trade at least once every 30 days on your account, we will consider you inactive and your account will be breached.

Futures:

For Phases 1-4, you must place an executed trade once every 14 days to retain the account.

A soft breach means we will close all trades that violate the rule. However, you can continue trading in your Assessment or Live Account. A hard breach means that you violated either the Daily Loss Limit or Max Drawdown rule. Both rules constitute a hard breach. In the event you have a hard breach, you will fail the Assessment or have your Live Account taken away. A hard breach can also occur if you violate our policy on Prohibited Trading Activity. Refer to section below for details.

No. But in order to complete the phase and be entitled to receive the payout, you will need to achieve both the Equity Growth Target and the consistency requirement.

You are prohibited from using any trading strategy expressly prohibited by DayProp or the Liquidity Providers it uses. Such prohibited trading (“Prohibited Trading”) shall include, but not be limited to:

• Exploiting errors or latency in the pricing and/or platform(s) provided by the Liquidity Provider
• Utilizing non-public and/or insider information
• Front-running of trades placed elsewhere
• Trading in any way that jeopardizes the relationship that DayProp has with a Liquidity Provider or may result in the cancellation of trades
• Trading in any way that creates regulatory issues for the Liquidity Provider
• Utilizing any third-party strategy, off-the-shelf strategy, or one marketed to pass challenge accounts
• Utilizing one strategy to pass an assessment and then utilizing a different strategy in a funded account, as determined by DayProp in cooperation with Prop Account, LLC, at their discretion
• Attempting to arbitrage an assessment account with another account with DayProp or any third-party company, as determined by DayProp in its sole and absolute discretion.
• If DayProp detects that your trading constitutes Prohibited Trading, your participation in the program will be terminated and may include forfeiture of any fees paid to DayProp. Additionally, before any Trader shall receive a funded account, the trading activity of the Trader under these Terms and Conditions shall be reviewed by DayProp and the Liquidity Provider to determine whether such trading activity constitutes Prohibited Trading. In the case of Prohibited Trading, the Trader shall not receive a funded account.

Additionally, DayProp reserves the right to disallow or block any Trader from participating in the program for any reason, in DayProp sole and absolute discretion. To view all Prohibited Uses, please review our Terms and Conditions.

Live Accounts:
We reserve the right to limit the number of open positions you may enter or maintain in the Live Account at any time and to revise the drawdown levels at which trading in the Live Account will be halted in response to market conditions. The Broker or we reserve the right to refuse to accept any order.

Instant Funding:
The maximum position that you may open is generally determined by your available margin.

We reserve the right to increase the margin requirement, limit the max order size or limit the number of open positions you may enter or maintain in theInstant Funding Account at any time, and to revise in response to market conditions the drawdown levels at which trading in the Instant Funding Account will be halted. We or the liquidity provider(s) reserve the right to refuse to accept any order.

No. We operate at an arm’s length with the Broker. All market pricing and trade executions are provided by the Broker and are not changed or modified by us. Additionally, we do not mark up transaction costs established by the Broker through adjusting bid-offer spreads, markups/markdowns, commission charges, or swaps.

Upon passing your Assessment, you must sign your Trader Agreement via the dashboard. Once the agreement is completed and supporting documentation is provided, your Live Account will be created, funded, and issued to you typically within 24-48 business hours.

Once you pass the assessment, we will provide you with a live account backed by our capital. The capital in your Live Account is notional and may not match the amount of capital on deposit with the Broker. A Live Account is notionally funded when actual funds in the account (i.e., the equity in a Live Account represented by the amount of capital) differs from the nominal account size (i.e., the size of the Live Account that establishes the initial account value and level of trading). Notional funds are the difference between nominal account size and actual capital in a Live Account. The use of notional funding does not change the trading level, or the account may trade in any manner differently than if notional funds were not used. In particular, the same conditions and rules apply to a soft breach, hard breach, Daily Loss Limit, Max Drawdown, stop loss, and position limits.

The rules for the Live Account are exactly the same as those for your Assessment account. However, there is no account growth target with a live account.

Traders can request a withdrawal of the gains in their Live Account at any time in their trader dashboard, but no more frequently than once per thirty (30) days. So, if you make gains in your Live Account, you can request a withdrawal. When you are ready to withdraw the gains from your Live Account, click the Withdrawals button in your trader dashboard and enter the amount to withdraw. Once your withdrawal request is approved, you can withdraw it via any available method. We currently offer crypto payouts and fiat payouts via Rise.

Forex:
‍Your first withdrawal can be requested at any time. Thereafter, you can request a withdrawal of the gains in your account every 30 days. When a withdrawal is approved, we will also withdraw our share of the gains, and your max drawdown will lock in at your starting balance. The Maximum Drawdown does not reset when you request a withdrawal. Example: You have taken an account from $100,000 to $120,000. You then request a withdrawal of $16,000. In this scenario, you will receive $12,000, and we will retain $4,000. This would also take the account balance down to $104,000, and your Maximum Drawdown is locked in at $100,000. So, you would have $4,000 maximum you could lose on the account before it would violate the Maximum Drawdown rule. If you take a full withdrawal of the gains in your Live Account, the Maximum Drawdown will still lock in at the starting balance and will, therefore, result in the forfeiting of your Live Account, as your balance will trigger the Maximum Drawdown breach rule.

Crypto:
Unlike our Forex accounts, the max drawdown does NOT move to the initial balance on the crypto accounts after you make your first withdrawal. Meaning if you make $10,000 on a $100,000 2 Phase account, and withdraw the full $10,000; the max drawdown will still be at $91,000.

Unlike other firms, DayProp does not look for reasons to negate payouts. We pay what is due, even if an account is breached. If you have gains in your funded account at the time of a hard breach, you will still receive your portion of those gains.

Example:
If you have a $100,000 live account, grow it to $120,000. If you breach the 5% daily max drawdown (—$6000), we will close the account. You will be paid your portion of the remaining $14,000 in gains in your funded account.

To manage risk and minimize transaction costs, we may offset or negate market risk and act as the direct counterparty to certain trades initiated in the Account. Such trades are executed at prices provided by the Broker. This framework is intended to ensure you receive real market execution on your trades while simultaneously allowing us to manage risk dynamically by routing existing positions or future orders to third parties for execution as we deem appropriate. Such real market execution and dynamic risk management would not be possible or as cost-effective if trades were executed in simulated accounts. Regardless of whether we act as a counterparty to your trades, the gain or loss on your Live Account is not calculated differently. However, when we act as the counterparty to your trades, there is an inherent potential conflict of interest because your trades do not result in net gain or loss to us, as your trades would if we were not the direct counterparty.

You can request for your funded account balance to be doubled (up to a maximum of $5M) when the following criteria is met:

• 1. A withdrawal must have been processed on your account before we start tracking these months
• 2. 6 consecutive months where your maximum drawdown (balance based) on the account does not exceed 4%
• 3. Within those 6 months, at least 3 months where the gain on the account exceeded 3%
• 4. Gain on the account of at least 10% since inception

Scaling requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and your account will be reviewed by our team upon request to see if you qualify.

Traders can request a withdrawal of the profits in their funded account through their trader dashboard at any time. However, withdrawals are limited to one request every 30 days. The minimum withdrawal amount is the greater of $100 or 1% of the account’s starting balance. When a withdrawal is approved, we will also withdraw our share of the gains, and your max trailing drawdown will lock in at your starting balance. The trailing drawdown does not reset when you request a withdrawal. Example: You have taken an account from $100,000 to $120,000. You then request a withdrawal of $16,000. In this scenario, you will receive $12,000 and we would retain $4,000. This would also take the balance of the account down to $104,000, and your Maximum Trailing Drawdown is locked in at $100,000. So, you would have $4,000 maximum you could lose on the account before it would violate the Maximum Trailing Drawdown rule. If you take a full withdrawal of the gains in your Funded Account, the Maximum Trailing Drawdown will lock in at the starting balance and trigger the Maximum Trailing Drawdown breach rule, resulting in the forfeiture of your Funded Account.

When trading an account for our firm, you are treated as an independent contractor. As a result, you are responsible for any and all taxes on your gains.

We have risk management software that is synced with the accounts we create. This allows us to analyze your performance in real-time for achievements or rule violations. As such, you must use an account that we provide.

You must be at least 18 years of age, or the applicable minimum legal age in your country, to purchase a Funded Futures account.

Subject to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, traders from all countries, excluding OFAC-listed countries, can participate in our program. Current restricted countries (subject to change): Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Congo (Brazzaville), Cuba, Guinea, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Mali, Myanmar (Burma), North Korea, Russian Federation, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine*, Venezuela, and Yemen.

*We are currently unable to onboard new users or businesses from Ukraine, Existing Ukrainian users may continue to use their accounts, but withdrawals are presently limited to cryptocurrency only. We are actively working on a solution to allow new users from Ukraine to onboard.

If you fail to pass the KYC process, your gains will be forfeited and your account closed. We strongly encourage you to ensure you meet the KYC requirements before trading any of our plans.

Live Accounts:
Before you are issued your Live Account, you must perform KYC via SumSub. We do not store any documents – all are sent through the SumSub portal for review. Once verified, you will sign your Trader Agreement and then be issued your Live Account.

Instant Funding and Instant Lite:
A Trading contract and KYC are both required, however to start trading using our Instant Funding Plan, these steps won’t need to be completed until you request a withdrawal.

Forex:

Trading hours are generally set by the Liquidity Provider, unless set by our rules. We do not have any control over the trading hours. You can see the trading hours for each product by using the following methods: DXtrade – Right click symbol, select “Instrument Info” cTrader – Navigate to Symbol Window, scroll down to see “Market Hours” for selected symbol.

Crypto:

DayProp Crypto Accounts are tradeable 24/7, except in the following cases:

• When using Instant-Lite Plans
• During broker or platform maintenance and updates

Trades can be placed starting at 1700 CST at the Globex Open and can be held until the 1510 CST session closes.

Copy trading is only permitted when all accounts engaged in copy trading are owned by you. Group trading, signal services, passing services, or any other methods that bypass individual strategy are not allowed. Engaging in trades that mirror or closely align with another trader or group of traders across multiple accounts is strictly prohibited.

Upon purchase, you will receive access to the DayProp dashboard where you can monitor the progress of your account. The dashboard is updated in near real time as we calculate your account metrics. It is your responsibility to monitor your breach levels.
